Training for Trainers

Have you ever considered becoming a trainer and conducting trainings for youth? Join our Training for Trainers, where you will obtain the necessary knowledge and skills to become a trainer! The Netherlands School for Innovative Education organizes the event for youth workers who do not have any training experience or have only minimal experience in conducting trainings. The event is for those who would like to acquire knowledge and skills in the youth field. Conducting training might seem easy, but those who have done it – they know for sure – conducting good training is an art! In order to be a successful trainer, you need to have some specific knowledge and skills. Where to acquire this knowledge? How to develop those skills? We will share that with you!

If you always wanted to become a trainer, this course is the way to make the first step!

Program

The training will cover the following topics:

What does it mean to be a trainer? Learn about the work of a trainer, how to become a trainer, what trainers usually do etc.

Learn the skills necessary to become a successful trainer.

Where trainers can find examples of trainings, where trainers can find some tools, where trainers can find other interesting information necessary for providing quality training. Detailed information about the resources for trainers.

Learn about the working opportunities for trainers: where and how trainers can look for jobs as a trainer, how trainers can find the trainings to conduct, how to position yourself on a market in order to find customers, and other topics related to job opportunities for trainers.

You will have the possibility to practice what you have learned.

We create the course matching essential learning needs as much as possible. Also, we leave some space to add sessions for additional topics upon request.

Sunday is the arrival day. There are no activities planned on Sunday. No meals provided on Sunday. The sessions will be from Monday to Thursday. Friday is the departure day. There are no sessions planned on Friday. 

Though the event aims at preparing the trainers for youth projects, we believe the skills and knowledge could be also successfully applied in other fields of trainings such as business trainings, trainings on personal development. We believe successful youth trainers can develop themselves in future and apply their knowledge and skills for other types of trainings as well.

The program is certified – all the participants receive the certificate upon the completion of the course.

Travelling after the course

We offer mini-trips with sightseeing to nearby countries after the course. Travelling is offered for an additional fee and includes tickets and one night stay. Click here to learn more. Please let us know in your application form if you are interested.

Accommodation and Meals

All the participants are provided with accommodation in Amsterdam for the whole period of the course. The type of accommodation is a shared room for 2 people. The accommodation in a single room can be arranged for an additional fee – please see the additional services section. Participants have access to the kitchen which they can use. The accommodation is well-connected by public transport with all the tourist places in Amsterdam. During the program, sessions will be conducted in the classroom which is within walking distance from the accommodation. Participants will be provided with a detailed description of the venue and information on how to reach it from the airport.

We offer comfortable accommodation where you can stay during the program and fully enjoy your time in Amsterdam!

Tickets to and from The Netherlands are not included in the price.

Visa

If you want to travel to the Netherlands, you might need a visa. Here you could determine whether you require a visa. Please tick “90 days or less” in the first question. Or just email us and we will advise you.

When you apply to our programs and provide mandatory pre-payment, we provide you with a visa assistance: an official visa invitation letter which is necessary for applying for a visa. Also, we will guide you on the visa process and consult you regarding the documents that you need to prepare for the successful visa application. We will be happy to look through the package of the documents that you will prepare for the visa application, analyze it and help you to prepare all the documents correctly. Usually, visa type required to attend our courses: Short-term business visa. But it would be better to make a double check at your local Consulate / VFS Center.

Step 1

Please go to your local Consulate / VFS website and make an appointment. Sometimes you can make an appointment only 1-2 months in advance. We recommend doing that as soon as possible and then proceed to Step 2.

Step 2

Please learn more about the list of all the required documents (usually, those documents are listed on the website of your local Consulate / VFS. This list also includes visa invitation letter that we send. Usually, we send a visa invitation letter within 1-3 days after receiving the required pre-payment from the applicant.

Step 3

With the full list of documents and completed visa application form, you have to go to the local Consulate/VFS on the appointment day and submit them. The fee for the visa might differ depending on the country where you apply. VFS might also apply an extra charge for their services.

We strongly recommend to check all the documents before the submission and make sure you provide the correct information to the Consulate and in that case, you most probably will receive a visa without any difficulties.

We do not have any age or geographical limits for the applicants. A person of any age from any country is welcome to apply for the program.
