The project will improve the lives of people with visual impairments. Individuals who are deprived of stimuli that need to be taken with visual sense and who are severely affected by visual impairment are called visually impaired individuals. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, 750 million to 1 billion people in the world today have special needs. Studies have shown that approximately 285 million of these numbers are visually impaired individuals. 39 million are completely blind, and 246 million are individuals with very poor eyesight. Studies have shown that this number is increasing. Blindness is not only a health problem but also a social problem. Visually impaired individuals face many problems in their daily lives. Unformed pavements, ramps, and wells that are left open on streets and streets can cause risks such as falling, hitting and injury, and even death. Research is being conducted on the development of various smart devices in order to eliminate these problems, enable visually impaired individuals to manage themselves comfortably and safely, and reintegrate them into society. Improving the living conditions of the visually impaired, enabling them to move freely and safely, and ensuring their reintegration into society are one of the basic priorities of humanity. The system to be developed in the presented project is an effective tool to solve the problems listed above. The system thus developed allows the visually impaired to enter the address they want to go to in the Braille system, and selects the appropriate road map according to the navigation system. The system installed using Arduino detects the approaching obstacle and warns the user, thanks to the GPS system, the visually impaired and their relatives can track their location and direction of movement, and the energy source of this entire system is provided by a triboelectric nanogenerator, which converts biomechanical energy related to people’s movement into electrical energy.
