In any organisation, many of the costs are related to the purchases of products and/or services. Any organisation will also be supplying products and/or services to their customers. This course is designed to provide an overview of the tasks associated with the procurement and supply chain function.
Key learning outcomes:
- Understand the role of procurement and supply within organisations
- Understand the organisational impact of procurement and supply
- Know how products and services are received from suppliers and delivered to customers
- Know the stages of the sourcing process
- Understanding the need for the effective and efficient administration of purchases made with external suppliers
- Know the importance of ethics and responsible procurement in organisations and supply chains
On completion of this course, learners will be able to identify the fundamental roles and activities, the systems, procedures, processes, and contracts associated with the procurement and supply chain function.
The course includes question and answer sessions, group discussions & reviews of case studies in purchasing and supply.
Soft copies of study materials will be provided to learners.
Course duration: 9 hours (3-day course / 3 hours per day).
